Jordana Waserman

I recently completed my third year of an Honours Bachelor of Science program in Life Sciences and Psychology. As a summer NSERC student in the POPMEM Lab, I am very excited to be contributing to the lab’s investigation of emotional memory enhancement.

I will be continuing our design of stimuli to investigate how emotions affect cognitive functioning and memory for gist and detail. Additionally, I will be continuing our work on the Kingston arm of the Canada-wide CANBIND study. CANBIND aims to identify biomarkers of depression in order to increase treatment effectiveness and reduce the impact of depression.

My role involves the collection, quality checking and uploading of brain data to the CANBIND database, as well as the administration of a memory extension study.
